Visitors to the study facilities have access to The Darnell Collection, based permanently at the Gallery. The Collection consists of around 5,500 examples of garments, accessories and textiles, dating from the 18th century through to the present day. Hundreds of research books on the history of fashion, museum exhibition catalogues, fashion organisation journals and pamphlets are also available for study.

The education program at The Fashion & Textile Gallery provides a range of fun, interactive and accessible ways to learn.

We offer a range of visit options, from teaching sessions and lectures to self-guided activities. Exhibitions at the Gallery are open to the public Tuesday - Saturday from 10 - 3pm. A small admission fee is applicable.
